Sanitary pad vendor on Bangladesh campus ends menstrual taboo

Dhaka, Mar 8 (EFE).- Ety Afrin, an English literature student of Dhaka University, faced many embarrassing situations as she went to buy sanitary napkin from pharmacies in Bangladesh capital Dhaka. Afrin’s problem was partly solved in January when the student union of her university set up eight sanitary napkin vending machines on the campus, allowing some 12,000 female students to buy it at an affordable price without asking anyone.
