Major landslide buries north Indian road during expansion work

A major landslide buried a mountain road in north India while expansion roadworks were being carried out in the area.

The incident took place on February 6, in Nandaprayag town located in Chamoli district, Uttarakhand.

Footage shows the landslide kicking up an immense cloud of dust, while debris blocked traffic on the highway.

According to reports, a few vehicles in the area and houses located below the highway were damaged.

Several vehicles were buried in the landslide, but no loss of life was reported.
