Two headed snake found in West Bengal

A two-headed snake was found in WB’s West Midnapore. It was found in the Ekarukhi village of Belda forest range. The species of snake is identified as ‘Naja Kaouthia’. Speaking to ANI on the matter, Zoologist Soma Chakraborty said, “The species of the two-headed snake is ‘Naja Kaouthia’, which is locally known as ‘Keute’ or in Hindi ‘Kala Naag’. The venom of this snake is neurotoxic.”
