China Bans Popular YouTuber PewDiePie.
The move comes after the 29-year-old joined in on jokes comparing President Xi Jinping to Winnie the Pooh.
He also issued support for the creators of 'South Park' and spoke of the Hong Kong protests.
The Swedish native, who has over 17 million subscribers, confirmed the ban in a new video.
Well boys, we did it. I’m banned from China…After I spoke about the Hong Kong protests and showed their leader being mocked for looking like Winnie the Pooh, I got banned from China.
Now if you search anything PewDiePie-related on any Reddit related forum in China or a YouTube related video, it will just be completely blank.
PewDiePie, whose real name is Felix Kjellberg, then issued an apology to those trying to watch his content in China.
Obviously me talking about the Hong Kong memes was going to get me banned.
Besides PewDiePie, 'South Park' has also been banned from China.
As has DJ Zedd for his "like" of a 'South Park' tweet
