Seoul's Nodeul Island has been rejuvenated into culture and music complex

Time for our "Life & Info" segment,... where we focus on information useful for your everyday life.
Today we're going to talk about an island in the middle of Seoul's Hangang River... that's been rejuvated as a culture and music complex - Nodeul Island.
We have our Kan Hyeong-woo with us in the studio to tell us more.
OK, Hyeong-woo, fill us in on this island smack bang in the hustle and bustle of the capital.

Mark, so Nodeul Island was artificially put together in 1917 when Korea was building the Hangang Bridge that connects the districts of Yonsan-gu to the north and Dongjak-gu to the south in central Seoul.
It used to serve as a popular spot for family picnics until the 1960s, but it gradually became isolated with mutiple development projects failing to reinvent the island over the years.

After being practically abandoned for about 50 years,... now it's been given a new lease of life as the island reopened as a music and culture complex about two weeks ago.
Under the theme of 'getaway from everyday life',... the island now offers two concert venues - one indoor and one outdoor.
And every weekend until the end of this year, concerts and performances will be laid on to entertain visitors.
Let's take a look at what visitors thought of the renewed island.
"This place feels somewhat refined. I don't know if there are many people coming here, but I think it's a good place to chill out. It's very city-like."
"We used to only be able to walk around the park over there, but now it's nice to have more places to check out. We also like that it's turned into a place where people can actually come to instead of just looking at the island from afar."
Just by watching the video footage... you can see how beautiful it is and it would be a great spot to enjoy the Hangang River.
So it's a wonderful picnic destination,... but what are some other attractions our viewers might want to know about?
As I mentioned earlier, it's a multi-complex now. So there's a lot of other facilities you can enjoy.
To begin with, Restaurants and a convenient store are in place to make sure you don't run out of energy from taking a walk around the island.
A bookstore combined with a cafe and a reading area has been built to give you a break from your busy daily life.
It also has glass doors and glass walls so you can enjoy the river view while you are inside the bookstore.
Plus, there is a plant atelier - basically a plant workshop - where they have classes on how to grow your plants better.
They also sell their plant products so you can check that out.
There's a lounge bar with music playing all the time.
And it's not your everyday pub.
It mainly sells makgeolli - Korean traditional alcoholic beverage which is a milky, lightly sparkling rice wine.
Now before we let you go, tell us the operation hours and how we can get there?
Most of the facilities are open from 11 AM to 10 PM from Tuesday through Sunday... with the viewing areas on the roof and the park open 24/7.
But unfortuna
