Tensions ran high in Hong Kong’s Sham Shui Po district for a second consecutive night on August 6, 2019, when hundreds of people gathered outside the local police station after 9pm to demand the release of a student leader.  Police had arrested Keith Fong, president of Hong Kong Baptist University’s student union, on suspicion of possessing an “offensive weapon”.
