BIOGRAPHY:

Supergirl is an electro pop project conceived out of the need to broadcast a positive and empowering message as far and wide as the music allows.

Love Dat Bass ( the 4 -track EP ) is inspired by a feeling of hope and positivity, never forgetting there was a time when pop music facilitated an escape, if only for 3 minutes at a time. There is an undeniable sonic atmosphere of space and fun in this music: an invitation to let go, relax and float downstream.

Supergirl aim to capture the best of an 80’s analog vibe — sing-along pop gems with thick baselines, groovy beats and ultra catchy melodies. The lyrics avoid the obvious cliches, relying on sophisticated metaphors to gettheir point across: believe in yourself, believe in each other, believe in love.

Says Supergirl: ”Just as today’s music scene tends to be fragmented into genres, Supergirl aim to not belong to any one label. Let’s get back to the future, one where pop is a lovely word, where being happy and enjoying a melody, a beat and a clever lyric is where it’s at.”

Supergirl perform with 2 turntables and a microphone.
Call it candy, electronic or melodic pop. You can deem it catchy, commercial or DIY. Label it easy on the eyes and direct in its appeal. This is supergirl.
