Her mother and father had a minor war over her. Rodgers father actually kidnapped her for a while. However, her mother regained custody of her daughter. Ginger Rodgers unique name was by accident. I'm referring to her first name. A relative of Ginger Rodgers had problems pronouncing her real first name of Virginia. Instead of calling her Virginia, she called her Ginja which eventually became Ginger. She is best known for her partnership with Fred Astaire. Her biography about her career is a bit sorrowful yet more inspiring. She won an academy award for 1940's Kitty Foyle movie. She made 75 films during her movie career.
