She is best known for her role in 1933's movie King Kong. She made her first film in 1923 during Silent Movies era. She easily made a transition from silent films to talkies. She actually had a short lived television series from 1953-1954 titled Pride of the Family. Her movie career went kaput between 1943 and 1954, for personal reasons. She made no movies during 1960's and 1970's.
