DeVotchKa - Queen Of The Surface Streets

Originally recorded live and aired as part of the Fearless Music Show in New York City and recently acquired by One Media.
A four piece indie multi instrumental and vocal ensemble whose name means 'girl' in Russian. They are based in Denver, Colorado and the band consists of Nick Urata, Tom Hagerman, Jeanie Schroder and Shawn King.
DeVotchKa have previously toured with model Dita Von Teese. Their music has featured in films and on television including in a trailer for 'Everything Is Illuminated,' in an episode of 'Everwood' and in the 2006 film 'Little Miss Sunshine.' In 2008, they were named the Best New Band from Colorado by Boston newspaper 'The Phoenix' and their song 'How It Ends' reached number 101 in the UK singles charts. They supported Muse at the Stade de France in 2010 with over 80,000 people attending. Their latest album is 100 Lovers which was released in March 2011.
