When Christopher H Bidmead originally outlined the final story for the Fourth Doctor - Logopolis - the end of Part 1 was not meant to end on the shrunken forms of the policeman and Aunt Vanessa. There was originally one extra shot - that of the Watcher on the other side of the road, mysteriously fading away. It would have looked something like this...
