Former unification minister says N. Korea-U.S. dialogue needs to resume soon

A former South Korean minister is calling for denuclearization talks between North Korea and the U.S. to resume soon.
Jeong Se-hyun, a unification minister during the Roh Moo-hyun administration,... said that while no agreement was reached in Hanoi,... the talks haven't broken down completely,... labeling it a bump in the road.
He pinpointed domestic issues in the U.S.,... namely the testimony to Congress by President Trump's former lawyer -- as a key factor that contributed to the summit's abrupt end.
He said South Korea's role is especially important,... stressing the need to hear both side's accounts and what happened behind the scenes at the summit.
He added economic cooperation between the two Koreas can stimulate dialogue,... saying concessions are needed to achieve complete denuclearization.
