Patels hold massive rally demanding OBC status and reservation

Amidst incidents of group clashes, stone pelting and volatile situation, members of the Patel community held a massive rally demanding reservation benefits and OBC status in Ahmedabad. Led by 22-year-old Hardik Patel, who has emerged as the face of the movement, more than half-a-million thronged the rally which was part of the agitation launched on July 6.
