There is yet another case of a whistleblower coming under attack, this time in Rohtas. An RTI activist was thrashed for seeking to dig out certain information. All the acused are public servants. This old man was beaten black and blue for exercising his right to information. Thrashed for seeking answers from the water resource department in Rohtas's Dehri-on-sone town on a 22 lakh rupees worth scam.
Nabi ahmad was allegedly beaten by an executive engineer, assistant engineer and three contractors of the department. Allegations that water resource department SDO denies. Even though the police is looking into the case, it is only a recent addition to attacks on RTI activists who become a threat to the corrupt.
