India News: Supreme Court slams Centre on acid attack

India News: The Supreme Court today hit out at the Centre for failing to prevent the acid attacks on girls across the country.
"People are dying because of acid attacks. Every day one incident or the other is happening. Think of the plight of the girls. Seriousness is expected from government," the Supreme Court said.
The top court also gave the Centre one week to come up with a new scheme for the sale of acids, failing which the court will pass orders.
