My Kid The... Trailer

Behind every incredible kid, there’s an amazing parent cheering them on from the sidelines. In Fatherly’s new documentary series, "My Kid The...", we’re putting the spotlight on these kids chasing their dreams despite the odds. The series profiles a kid in each episode who has taken on the challenge of doing something extraordinary, or unique, and the parents who have encouraged them along the way. We will see an intimate look inside the kid’s passion project, and learn about their parent’s involvement in helping them achieve their goals.

In the first four episodes of the series, we explore the following characters: Kellan Tilton, a 6-year-old paraplegic cancer survivor from Maine who’s exceptional for not letting his limitations stop him from being a child. We also see Josh Reisner, a 14-year-old professional chef and food enthusiast. He was a finalist in MasterChef Junior and has been cooking since the age of 5. While he has a passion for food, he is still making time for school and for being a kid as he builds his culinary career. Aubrey Mills, an 11-year-old Brooklyn musician born into the world of percussion — both of his parents were in the cast of STOMP. Aubrey is sensational in the sense that he does not only play the drums, but he is able to create music with almost any instrument or tool handed to him. And finally, Kayla Yaakov, a 10-year-old motorcycle-racing champion from Pennsylvania who has been riding motorcycles since she was 5 years old. Since she started racing, she has racked up 185 wins and 25 championships.

Join us as we celebrate these children and their parents and look at their exceptional lives.
