SBI releases Ecowrap report highlighting a rare event

The State Bank of India (SBI) has released its Ecowrap report in which they highlight a rare event. The rural headline inflation in December 2018 has slumped to 1.65 percent while core rural consumer price index (CPI) has jumped to 6.34 percent, an event, that SBI says has happened once in 27.7 years. Soumya Kanti Ghosh, group chief economic advisor at SBI shared his views and outlook.
