Jawans perform full dress rehearsal ahead of Army Day celebrations. Every year, the Army Day is celebrated on 15 January. It marks Field Marshal Kodandera M. Cariappa's taking over as the Indian Army’s Commander-in-Chief on 15 January, 1949 from from General Sir Francis Butcher, the last British Commander-in-Chief of India.
