‘Saturday Night Live’ Holds Mini ‘Office’ Reunion Five years since the hit show ended in 2013, members of ‘The Office’ reunited. During Carell’s monologue on SNL, the actor took questions from people in the audience, which featured former stars from the hit series like Ellie Kemper, Ed Helms and Jenna Fischer. When asked about a reboot, Carell said he doesn’t think it would be as good as the original. “It was a great experience, I love all of those people, but I don’t think it’s the best idea. I think we should just leave it alone.” - Steve Carrell, on ’Saturday Night Live’ Kemper said she “needed the money” and Helms emphasized how much they would make. “I don’t think you realize how much money. You wouldn’t have to do those sad movies anymore.” - Ed Helms Fischer jokingly reminded Carell what the “last words Pam secretly whispered to Michael” on the show. “She said, ‘Steve don’t be a dick, do the reboot,” she said. “Let’s just do the damn thing!” - Jenna Fischer, on ‘Saturday Night Live’ His wife, Nancy Carell, even joined in on the joke. While a reboot was not announced, fans got to see some of the gang together again when they joined Carell onstage.
