CBI director Alok Verma's petition against government order divesting him of powers will be heard in the apex court today. Alok Verma in his petition said that his removal by the GOI was illegal and had bypassed a high-powered committee. A bench headed by Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi will be hearing the plea today after Verma's counsel pressed for an urgent hearing.
