According to Reuters, manatees are mysteriously dying in Mexican wetlands.
Officials and researchers are struggling to explain the deaths of dozens of manatees.
Since May Fishermen along the Bitzal River have discovered at least 28 dead West Indian Manatees.
No cause of death has been official, but locals blame deaths of fish in the river on polluted water from offshore drilling operated by Pemex, a national oil company.
