California's Largest Wildfire Surges, Thousands Already Evacuated

According to a report by Reuters, a fast-growing California wildfire that has already forced thousands of people to flee from their homes surged Friday night, as fatigued firefighters continued to battle gusting winds. The blaze in Mendocino county, roughly 90 miles north of San Francisco, has reportedly spread to a total of 201,471 acres by early Saturday, over a 25 percent increase in size from Friday, and is currently only 34 percent contained.
