Much-needed rainfall today puts an end to searing heatwave _ 062618

Good morning. Some much needed monsoon rain will put an end to heatwave and wash away the dust in the air.

North Korea and central parts of the country are seeing heavier showers and we'll most likely to see showers all day while southern provinces will be affected by monsoon rain tomorrow.

Capital area could see up to 120 millimeters of heavy showers and the rain will pick up as the day goes on, southern regions will see light showers for today but will get heavier tomorrow.

Temperature-wise, it was one steamy Monday but today's showers will bring much more bearable temperatures but expect higher humidity.

For a closer look at today's temperatures, lows are as warm as yesterday, kicking off at 22 degrees in Seoul, Daejeon... while Jeju will have a very warm day today starting out at 24 degrees.

Jeju won't see showers again until Thursday and will be the warmest region getting up to 32 degrees this afternoon, Seoul, Busan will be a lot breezier at 25 degrees.
