Deadly Explosion Hits Rally Attended By New Ethiopian Prime Minister

According to a report by CNN, an deadly explosion struck a rally attended by Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed on Saturday, leading to a number of casualties and leaving dozens injured. Government spokesman Ahmed Shide reportedly said, "There were a few casualties, details will be provided later." Solomon Ali of Ethiopia Red Cross Society claimed that at least 114 people had been hospitalized with injuries following the blast, some of them critical. Ali said, "It was very hard to transfer wounded people because there were dozens of thousands of people at the rally."
