Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers the Reds have a "big summer" ahead as they look to improve next season after a 6-1 thumping away against Stoke.

Stoke scored three in eight minutes through a Mame Biram Diouf brace and Jonathan Walters, with ex-Liverpool midfielder Charlie Adam, Steven Nzonzi and Peter Crouch rounding off an emphatic win.

The last time Liverpool conceded six or more goals in a top flight game was in 1963 when they lost 7-2 against Spurs.
