Blue flames from methane gas were seen near Hawaii's Kilauea volcano.

"When lava buries plants and shrubs, methane gas is produced as a byproduct of burning vegetation," the U.S. Geological Survey said in a video.

The Kilauea volcano continues to spew lava and clouds of ash into the sky.
