Uber Introduces 911 Emergency Feature According to TechCrunch, users will be able to quickly call 911 using the safety icon at the bottom of the app. TechCrunch reports that Uber is working with a few cities to integrate RapidSOS which would automatically share your location with emergency dispatchers. Uber started to develop the feature after they found out that finding the location of a 911 caller is often the biggest problem. At the end of the day, when a user is in an emergency, we want them to use whatever will be the fastest mechanism for them in that moment in time.
