RAF Davidstow Moor

RAF Davidstow Moor, RAF Davidstow or Davidstow Airfield is an abandoned World War II RAF base near the village of Davidstow in Cornwall.
The RAF base opened in 1942 and closed in 1945 but was used again from the early 1950's to 1954 when it was a Motor Car Circuit. There are three runways and a road which goes across it.
Some of the most famous planes that were stationed at RAF Davidstow Moor were the Lockenheed Hudson and the Bristol Beaufighter.
Around 200 soldiers died on Bodmin Moor in WWII and the airfield and control tower are said to be haunted by the ghosts of the soldiers who died. People have heard planes but look up and see none. People have also heard people talking and footsteps when no one is around, people have felt sad and like they can never come back and people have even been touched and pushed by people who aren't there.
