Oklahoma Senate Debates Tax Hike To End Teacher's Strike

According to Reuters on Friday, the Oklahoma Senate is ready to debate a tax hike package to raise education funds in the hope of ending a strike by the state's public school teachers, among the lowest paid educators in the nation. The week-long strike has affected over half a million students, and comes as teachers in other states express anger over stagnating wages and also consider walk-outs.
