Traxxas M41 Catamaran vs Spartan Round Two, FPV GPS Run & Flip!

Traxxas M41 Catamaran Round Two against my friend Joels Traxxas Spartan in Discovery Bay California on fourth of July weekend. The only thing different I did with the M41 is adjust the trim tabs down a little and angle the prop down as well. This was suppose to offset the weight of my GoPro Hero 4 and supposedly give me a edge but I recently got a new GoPro Session which is lighter and did not re-adjust the trim tabs and prop for this. It definitely showed with major chine walk in the video. I spent 80% of my time trying to adjust the boat to ride smoothly with some pliers (metal trim tabs) and could only muster a 43.8mph on the Garmin 201 GPS. \r

I ended up cracking the composite prop and replacing it with a metal prop thats close to the stock size. Overall I need to spend more time on the water testing and tuning this boat. This is my first boat and notice the slightest changes makes this boat over re. Needless to say Im not too happy about the losing this race against the Spartan for the 2nd time. I want to give it another shot in stock form before the new mods go in. Stay Tuned for Round 3! \r
