These users sign up for a free accounts, then download a modified Spotify installation file to get access to premium features. Spotify has been sending out emails to these accounts in recent days. The number of hacked accounts is unavailable, but Spotify does boast 159 million users around the world, and 71 million of those accounts are paid premium subscribers.
