The Life & Times of Raven Delavega

Born: July 20, 1982
Location: Chicago, IL
Influences: Tu-Pac, Bone Thugs, Do or Die, Psychodrama, Local Chicago Rap Artists, Crucial Conflict, Busta Rhymes, Pimp C
Up and coming Hip Hop artist Raven Delavega entered the world of hip hop in 1998. He was afforded the opportunity by his brother Jack of Spaid, he is the oldest of the 20 siblings. In 1998 Raven was taken under the wing of his brother who let him record hooks. Jack had the hook up on all of the hottest venues as well as a recording studio. He was writing and battling his heart out in order to get his craft together. He then moved to Kenosha where he met “Phatz”. Phatz taught raven how to record himself, and how to get his sound together to be an all around better recording artist. In 2002 his uncle Terry introduced Raven to his own BOGUS CLICQUE, that raven and a few other artists rapped with. As time went on they soon evolved and revolutionized and formed N Da Raw. The first member of this clique were Raven, Tril, and Phatz, this is where the tory starts to unfold.
The first appearance of artist Raven Delavega was in 2002. He opened up for Do or Die, fortunately there was a talent contest. Raven won the contest, in winning this contest he was awarded $1,000. This is the event where he met another up and coming artist, Brandon “Knox” Goods.(Formerly known as Juice, but you all know why?) Following his initial appearance he began on a wide variety of opening acts. He opened for artists such as; Bone Thugz & Harmony, ICP, Tech N9ne, Bizzy Bone, Kottonmouth Kingz, and Lil Wyte. In 2012, he began opening and closing for shows with WikiWisconsin, this subsequently was in the Kenosha to Chicago Area, a wide range of locations. He even opened up for Tech N9ne at the Rave on Main Stage, Eagles Ballroom. He then signed on with Force 5 Records and released miscellaneous singles with WikiWisconsin.
Now we fast forward to 2017. This is the time Raven absolutely falls in love with the music business and decides to run his own label. He meets successful businessman Frank-A. Now Frank-A and Raven decide to run his label similar to Tech N9ne and Trevor, something most people can only dream about. Frank-A affords him the opportunity to do something he has never done before. He gives him the opportunity to showcase his CEO and artist skills. Raven purchases a studio, goes on a 20 city tour with Insane Poetry of LSP (Liquid Snuff Productions). He begins recording plenty of collaborations here are a few of them: WTF featuring Knox, Trap & Ruckus featuring Lazy Bone, Lyrical Ammunition featuring DNA, Abilities featuring Hobson, Thirteen featuring Smoky the Bandit (recently signed with Lazy Bone), So Swell featuring Kush Mac. He also released the following videos: Resident Evil, Passing the Time, and How To Do It, but stay tuned there is so much more to come from this artist. Raven also has his mixtape Alienflow releasing in early 2018, make sure to look out for that.
We now end this with a few of Raven’s thoughts: “He don’t like rapping, he feels it is just in his culture. But many people believe that he is destined to do this. Broke is no joke, it is no longer 1978. USA is one big trap house, government and other agencies have been getting money for years, yet now there is something wrong with flossing? Hip Hop isn’t dead we just have to be responsible enough to keep it correct and alive, every music has its weird phases but they all get worked out. This is definitely a beautiful beginning of a relationship with Hip Hop and it can only grow stronger as the times go by. The epitome of real shit is a reflection of his life, soul, passion, and of his first love (HIP HOP).”
