Serena Williams Talks About Her Scary Birth

Serena Williams is on the cover of Vogue’s February issue with her daughter Alexis Olympia, and she talks all about her scary delivery.

The tennis star opened up in this latest issue, revealing that she had an emergency C-section when her baby’s heart started dropping during the delivery.

She said birth was an amazing feeling, then everything went bad.

The day after delivery she had to get a filter inserted into a major vein to prevent any possible clots from entering her lungs and she was on bed rest for 6 weeks.

Williams was noticeably absent from social media in the weeks after Alexis’ birth, and now we know why.

Alexis is now officially the youngest person to ever grace the cover of Vogue, so she should be pretty happy.
