The Weeknd Cuts Ties with H&M After 'Racist' Image

The Weeknd has cut ties with clothes retailer H&M.

In case you missed it, the Swedish fashion chain posted an image of a black child wearing a hoodie emblazoned with the phrase Coolest Monkey in the Jungle on its UK and US websites.

And they quickly received a lot of backlash.

The singer then took to Twitter to say that he will no longer be working with the retailer.

He has collaborated with them twice in the past, and he even performed at their 2017 spring fashion show.

The Weeknd released his second line of clothes with the brand back in September of last year, and he even proudly shared an image on his Instagram account of him in one of the pieces.

But all of that has come to an end.

H&M has since deleted the image and apologized.
