The Austrian Clearskies Ski Expedition has reached the 8,163 m summit of Manaslu in the Nepalese Himalaya. Within one short week of establishing basecamp they constructed their camp at 7,450 m.
The road was clear, the weather good. Two days later, 3 of the 4 climbing expedition team members including Hannes Groebner, Markus Amon and Sepp Hechenberger reached the summit and skied down an epic run of 3,000 vertical meters to basecamp.
