- Headphones Recommended - I wanted to pay a tribute to Groundation with this mini video ... Actually, the band might come back in 2018, with Harrison Stafford. But, possibly without the original members .... I just want to say thank you to everyone of them. : From Marcus Urani to Ryan Newman and the drummers Te Kanawa Haereiti & Paul Spina + Mingo Lewis Junior. + The horn section ... Thanks to Harrison Stafford and the backup singers, the soundman, the staff and the fans too ... I wish the best to all of them. And, good luck to the new version of Groundation too for 2018 and beyond ... We will see if the music will be as good as before ... One thing is sure, I'm going to miss these maestros and the original lineup ... I owe them something : As a musician ... I learnt a lot, just by listening to their music, and trying to play over the songs ! It means something to me ... Playing drums or keys with Groundation for more than a decade ... (And also listening to the words and messages made me become a better man/musician. It might sounds like a cliche, but it's true ... For a band mostly known on the Reggae scene : They were much more than that .... Some people understand all the aspects. Some just jump on the music : That's okay, a least there's something for everybody. But, for instance : With "Run The Plan", you have a hit song with multiple time signature : 11/4, or something ??! (lol)- It was not easy for me to play over the original song, (almost note for note, over Paul Spina's and Te Kanawa Haereiti's great drumtracks). My recording has just one stereo track. But, with a bit of mixing, it sounds good ... Music Is the Most High .. Big Up Groundation .. !! ;-) #runtheplan #song #music #fusion #instagram #drumcover #drums #timesignatures #harrisonstafford #fun #hereiam #thankyou #clip #video #allthebest #maestros #memories #musicisthemosthigh #seeyousoon .. !! ;-)
