Michelle Liu is a 21-year-old college student working to defy social media beauty standards through the act of chinning. She defines chinning as “the act of creating as many chins as possible and capturing it in a photo.” Liu documents her world travels on her Instagram account, @chinventures, with what she calls “chinfies” — chinning selfies with incredible scenic backdrops. “Chinning is important because it allows us to be ourselves and not take ourselves too seriously with our beauty standards,” Liu said.
