To prepare the sugar syrup in a separate saucepan add 2 cups of white sugar, add 2 cups of water and add few drops of fresh lemon juice / approximately ½ ts so that the sugar will not crystallise then leave that on one side and start preparing the batter, for this use 1 cup of self rising flour, add 1/4th ts orange / red food colouring, add 4ts full of chobani yogurt / greek style yogurt / regular yogurt and ½ cup or ½ + cup of water and beat it with your hand but the easier option is just to blend it in a blender. Then add 2 crushed green cardamoms and beat again. Pour this batter to a squeeze bottle / plastic bag.\r
Let the sugar syrup boil well dont keep the sugar raw. A way to tell if the syrup is ready is that when you dip the spoon in the syrup and lift it the last drop should drop slowly and that should be stringy and thats when you should turn the heat off and let it cool a bit.\r
Now fry these jalebis on constant heat and then dip them in the sugar syrup immediately for 5-7 seconds and plate it out.\r
