NBA Africa Game 2015 – A Basketball Legacy

History was made on the 1st of August 2015. The NBA played its first ever exhibition game on The African Continent at Ellis Park Arena in Johannesburg, South Africa. It was a day for the ages. What happened to bring us to this historic day? The NBA AFRICA GAME 2015: A BASKETBALL LEGACY documentary explores the relationship between Africa and The NBA. A relationship that began with the selection of Hakeem Olajuwon as Number 1 in the 1984 Draft that has grown to this day. From a uniquely African perspective, this documentary tells the story of the NBA and Africa in a very vibrant and exciting way as we hear from NBA Legends, African Legends, the next generation of talent and of course the parallel story of the historic game on August 1st.
