Rihanna knows a thing or two about winning awards, so we’re not too surprised she’s talking about an Oscar.
The pop star was talking to the Sun when she mentioned how she’d love to get to the top of the acting world someday, and become one of the few singers that have transitioned from the stage to the screen and win and Academy Award.
Like Cher and Jennifer Hudson.
Sure, her career got off to a rocky start… only having small roles in straight to DVD movies before signing on to do Battleship – the 2012 blockbuster that earned her a Razzie award for her performance.
But she’s ready for bigger things and she knows she’s on the right road to get there.
Her latest film, Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets, is set to open soon, and then the highly anticipated Ocean’s 8 will follow.
Now, we’re not sure if she’ll ever win an Oscar, but there’s something we’ve learned over the years about the pop singer…
