Can breastfeeding cause more cavities?

Children who are breastfed for more than two years, are likely to have dental cavities. According to research published in the journal "Pediatrics," kids who were breastfed for a prolonged time had a 2.4 times risk of having severe cavities. Previous studies found that breastfeeding can lower risks of childhood obesity and asthma. But the debate on how long kids should breastfeed is still an ongoing dispute.
