In the CCTV video, captured in Nanchang, Jiangxi Province on June 1, a four-year-old boy can be seen playing on an escalator when his arm gets trapped.
His mother tried to pull his arm out and other people ran to stop the escalator.
The boy was sent to hospital and had to undergo surgery.
