Baltimore mayor considers removing confederate monuments

Only days after New Orleans removed its last Confederate statue, Baltimore's mayor is hoping to follow in the same footsteps. “The city does want to remove these. We will take a closer look at how we go about following in the footsteps of New Orleans," Mayor Catherine Pugh. The city's previous mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake ordered a review of the Confederate monuments but never actually removed them. It is likely the removal of the statues will be met with protest.
