Mets’ Noah Syndergaard added to DL list after injury

Mets pitcher Noah Syndergaard is out indefinitely after an MRI showed he had a tear in his right lat muscle on Monday. Syndergaard felt pain in his biceps since last week, but refused to get an MRI. He played in Sunday’s game against the Nationals, but left halfway through as the pain in his arms increased. Syndergaard joins fellow Mets players Steven Matz, Yoenis Cespedes, and Seth Lugo who are also on the DL list.
