Ed Sheeran Will Be Honored By Songwriters Hall Of Fame

Those who thought Ed Sheeran was just a passing phase are about to eat their words.
According to People.com, Ed Sheeran will be honored with the Hal David Starlight Award at the 2017 Songwriters Hall of Fame Gala in New York City.
Co-Chairs of the Hall Kenneth Gamble and Leon Huff released a statement to People saying, “Ed Sheeran has accomplished so much in pop music that it is hard to believe he is only 26. He is not an overnight sensation, however, having immersed himself in songwriting, recording and performing since his early teens. His natural talent as a singer, songwriter, guitarist and producer has brought him well-deserved success.”
Sheeran’s writing style and musical ability have grown so much that according to People he once penned a song for a music exec right on the spot!
At just 26 years old and with his new album Divide screaming past 1 million sales in the U.K. alone, we’re looking forward to what lies ahead for Ed!
