Gregg Popovich was not happy last night

San Antonio Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich isn't known for being the happiest head coach in the league but he was in rare form last night after the Spurs lost to the Bulls 95-91. Popovich called out his team for lack of effort, saying they only played for 24 minutes, much like they had in their last ten games. Then, when a reporter asked if he was responsible for the performance, he replied: "I don’t remember playing tonight. No Knute Rockne speeches. It’s your job. If you’re a plumber and you don’t do your job, you don’t get any work." "I don’t think a plumber needs a pep talk. A doctor botches operations, and he’s not a doctor anymore. If you’re a basketball player, you come ready. It’s called maturity. It’s your job." The loss to the Bulls last night was the Spurs first road loss of the year, making the team 13-1 on the road and 18-5 overall.
