Big Mac creator, Jim Delligatti, passes away at 98

The man behind McDonald's Big Mac, Michael “Jim” Delligatti, passed away at 98 Wednesday. McDonald's spokeswoman confirmed Delligatti's death, which occurred Monday night in his home, and said he was surrounded by family. Delligatti, who owned a franchise in the Pittsburgh area, invented the Big Mac 50 years ago with two all-beef patties, “special sauce,” lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions on a sesame seed bun.
