Report: Billionaire Peter Thiel To Contribute $1.25M To Trump Campaign

Billionaire Paypal co-founder Peter Thiel reportedly plans to donate $1.25 million to Donald Trump’s presidential campaign.

Many Silicon Valley leaders have refrained from supporting Donald Trump in the presidential election, but one well-known figure is continuing to back his campaign--this time, with a large donation.
According to the New York Times, Peter Thiel, a billionaire who co-founded PayPal, is planning to make a $1.25 million contribution to pro-Trump super-PACS and other funds.
The piece goes on to state that an unnamed source “said the investor feels the country needs fixing, and Mr. Trump can do it.”
This is Thiel’s first known financial contribution to the Trump campaign.
However, others in Silicon Valley are reportedly turned off by GOP candidate’s views on immigration, comments about women and minorities, and verbal attacks on tech giants like Apple and Amazon.
Neither representatives of Thiel nor Trump have commented on the contribution.
