Chinese man gets ring stuck on penis for two days before he’s freed by firefighters

LIUZHOU, CHINA — A man in China’s Guangxi province put a ring on his penis earlier this month and it had stuck there for two days before it was released by firefighters.
It is not clear why the 18-year-old man in Liuzhou city put a ring on his penis, but anyway he did. He then tried to remove it with all sorts of methods but failed. His penis became swollen and he had to call for help.
He was wheeled into a hospital and had a 90-minute-long operation involving different sets of tools, including a video camera.
According to local media, a bag of ice was first put around his penis. Then, a pair of medical scissors was placed between the ring and the penis to create some space. Finally, the ring was cut off by the fireman’s pliers and his manhood was released.
The video of the man’s operation was posted on Weibo and has been shared more than 3,000 times. Many netizens praised the firefighters for successfully rescuing the man while others can’t help but wonder why he put on the ring in the first place.
