Planet Earth from Space to Place - Around the PentaGlobe

Coming ahead of the International Year of Planet Earth 2008, an exhibition entitled "Planet Earth: from Space to Place" opened on October 16th 2007 at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris.
For two weeks and a half, throughout the 34th General Conference, the exhibition highlighted UNESCO’s activities in connection with sustainable development and climate change. It showed how the natural, social and human sciences, culture, education, communication and information work together towards a common goal.
The heart of this exhibition was the PentaGlobe, a video installation created by artistic director Laurent Metterie. In his lead, we shall discover the behind-the-scene work on this exhibition up until the grand opening speech by UNESCO's president, M. Koïchiro Matsuura.
